Gorefield Scarecrow Competition 2010
Gorefield held its 3rd Annual Scarecrow Competition this August hoping to build on the success of the last 2 years when wonderful exhibits were displayed around the village and parish. This year's theme will be Cartoon Characters.
Judging took place during the week of 23rd to 29th August 2010. This year, for the first time, the Festival featured public voting and this was held over the weekend of the 28th and 29th August. This involved collecting a voting form from the village playing field, following a marked route and then scoring the exhibits as you went round. Your scores were added to the judges scores in order to find the overall winners.
Results and presentation of trophies took place at the Annual Flower, Vegetable and Craft Show held on September 4th 2010.
